Our focus
Advanced Digitalisation’s international colloboration aims to enhance the Swedish business sector’s competence and implementation capabilities, with the goal of strengthening Sweden’s brand in the field of advanced digitalisation.
The programme has an updated action plan for international collaboration, approved by the Board in June 2026. The plan defines key objectives and areas of activity. Examples of activities the programme focuses on include:
- Providing insights into the programme from an international perspective.
- Monitoring international developments and exchanging information with other countries.
- Promoting Advanced Digitalisation and increasing its visibility.
- Strengthening bilateral collaboration between Swedish industry and stakeholders in other countries.
- Increasing Swedish participation in EU research and development programmes.

1. Cluster 4 within Horizon Europe
Advanced digitalisation is particularly closely linked to Cluster 4 of the EU’s Horizon Europe programme.

The Nordic AI Factory Summit brings together organisations, researchers and policymakers involved in shaping how AI is developed, scaled up and governed in Europe. The event provides an opportunity to learn more about the services and opportunities offered by AI factories.
The Nordic AI Factory Summit will take place in Stockholm on 13 October.
Between 14 October and 17 November 2026, the European Commission, in cooperation with the upcoming Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, will organise a series of online and in-person events. The aim is to showcase how AI innovation and the adoption of AI are developing across Europe.

Participate in partnership events
A number of flagship events bring together policymakers, researchers and industry representatives to showcase ongoing projects, discuss strategies and provide opportunities for networking.
AI, data and robotics
The flagship event of the European Partnership on AI, Data and Robotics (ADRA) will take place in Porto, Portugal, on 13–14 October: ADRForum.
Chips JU
Chips JU’s flagship event, EFECS, will take place in Helsinki this year. Its matchmaking event is usually held in Brussels and is planned for February 2027.

6G SNS
The flagship event of the 6G SNS partnership brings together cutting-edge research and world-leading industries and companies. The event features both exhibitions and seminars.

2. The Digital Europe Program
DIGITAL is an EU funding program designed to shape and support the digital transformation of Europe’s society and economy, with the goal of increasing European competitiveness.
DIGITAL complements other EU funding programs, such as Horizon Europe (see below).
The call process is managed by the European Commission’s DG CONNECT, and in some cases by EU agencies such as the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) or the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA).
Between 2025 and 2027, the following calls within DIGITAL are planned, targeting industry needs:
